Learning beyond the classroom walls opens the door to new experiences and deeper understanding. With this vision, SRSPVS organized an educational field trip for students to explore the places of historical, cultural, and social significance. Students visited the Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust at Kasturbagram, Arsikere, a place that holds immense historical value.
The visit continued to Kasturba Goushala, where students understood the importance of preserving indigenous cattle breeds and sustainable agriculture. At the Mahatma Gandhi Asti (Samadhi), students paid homage to the Father of the Nation, reflecting on his values of truth and non-violence.
The trip concluded with visits to the Mudigere Yoganarasimha Swamy Temple and the Omkareshwara Temple, both known for their architectural beauty and historical significance. This educational journey left students with valuable lessons, cultural pride, and a sense of responsibility towards society, making it a truly enriching experience.
"The Sacrifice of Martyrs Inspires a Stronger Nation."
Martyrs’ Day was solemnly observed at SRSPVS to pay tribute to the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for the nation's sovereignty. The program began with a deep sense of patriotism, followed by a floral tribute to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. A soulful rendition of the Bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ added to the solemnity of the occasion. Students were enlightened about the significance of the day through thought-provoking speeches. Later, the students and faculty observed a two-minute silence and pledged to uphold the ideals of truth and non-violence. Overall, the event was meaningful.

A day of honour, a day of appreciation, a day of encouragement and motivation!
It was the day of felicitation of the stars for their outstanding performance in various events throughout the academic year 2024-25. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp. Thereafter, the President of SRSPVS, Mr. R Rajagopala Setty felicitated the students by giving away the trophies, medals and certificates. On this occasion, he addressed the gathering motivating the students to keep themselves focused and strive towards their goals with sheer determination and hard work.
It’s a proud moment at SRSPVS to congratulate and accolade the students on their achievement.
Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, arts, aesthetics,literature, music, and sciences in Indian culture.
SRSPVS organized ‘Saraswathi Puja and Farewell’ to the outgoing Grade 10 students of batch 2024-25. To begin with, Puja was performed later students offered flowers to Goddess Saraswathi to seek blessings for their forthcoming ICSE Board Examination from 18-02-2025. The puja venue was beautifully decorated with flowers, rangolis, and images of Goddess Saraswati, creating a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The Chief Guest Dr. Suresh Kumar Kundur while addressing the students explained how the students should prepare themselves for the exam & also distributed the group photos to all the students. Further, President Mr. R Rajagopala Setty distributed the admission tickets and conveyed his best wishes to all the students appearing for the board exam. Teachers urged the students
to study hard and perform well in the upcoming exam. Later, students expressed their gratitude towards their beloved teachers and delivered speeches relating their experience in the school. Overall, there was divine and celebratory aura in the whole proceedings.

A delicious lunch ceremony was organized on 12-02-2025, Wednesday at Shubhodaya Kalyana Mantap, Hassan. All the students sat together with their teachers and feasted. The students enjoyed the lunch by tasting the variety of dishes and made the lunch ceremony memorable.
SRS Prajna Vidya School celebrated National Science Day - 2025 with great enthusiasm to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by the renowned Indian physicist, Sir C.V. Raman.
The programme was formally inaugurated by esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Chandrashekar H.S., Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI), Hassan. along with our School President, Mr. R. Rajagopala Setty.
Addressing the gathering, D.D.P.I, Mr. Chandrashekar H.S. delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging students to pursue knowledge with curiosity and use science for the betterment of society.
The event also featured motivational and inspirational speeches by students. This was followed by an informative PowerPoint presentation.
The celebration ignited scientific curiosity among students, fostering a deeper appreciation for science and its role in shaping the future.

SRSPVS celebrated the 76th Republic Day with pride and reverence. The School's President, Mr. R. Rajagopala Setty, unfurled the national flag. To mark the importance of this day, a vibrant cultural program was organized in the school premises. The events included an impressive march past, meaningful speeches, patriotic songs, flag drill, yogic exercises, hoops and lezims performance. The entire school community came together, filled with patriotic fervor, making the celebration truly memorable.

To make the students aware about our rich Indian culture, heritage and tradition, SRSPVS celebrated the festival of Makar Sankranti today. Replicas of how the festival is celebrated in various States of India were beautifully depicted. The event marked the first & foremost event of the year 2024. Students wore traditional attire and were completely absorbed in the festive spirit.
The much-awaited Annual Sports Meet 2024-25 of SRSPVS was held on January 4, 2025. The chief guest for the day was Mr. Chandregowda M, President, Hassan City Municipal Council. The day started with a lovely rendition by the choir to pay salutations to the Lord Almighty, followed by the hoisting of the school flag, setting a formal and celebratory tone.
The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way, commencing with the March Past of the different houses. Dignitaries declared the Meet open by releasing pigeons, marking a symbolic moment of peace and unity. The ceremony of the arrival of the Olympic torch highlighted the values of tradition, unity, and sportsmanship. The students then took an oath to uphold these values throughout the meet.
The Chief Guest addressed the children and motivated them to participate actively in sports, emphasizing its importance for physical and mental well-being.
The team events and individual games were fiercely contested, with participants displaying strategic prowess. The players exhibited great sportsmanship and showcased their technical abilities in different games and events.
The day was filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and memories to cherish, leaving everyone inspired and eager for next year’s celebration.
The New Year marks a fresh beginning, and SRSPVS welcomed 2025 with great delight and enthusiasm. The stage was beautifully adorned, reflecting the festive spirit of the occasion. Students graced the celebration in traditional and vibrant attire, adding charm to the event. Group photos captured the joyous moments, while a mesmerizing dance performance by the students made the day truly memorable and filled with joy.

Memories of school trips are among the most prominent of the childhood years, largely because they are a welcome break in the routine for both students and teachers. Purpose is essentially close to nature and can also be a fun bonding experience.

School Level Annual Science Expo “Vigyan Vikasan - 2024” was organized today, in the school premises to create a scientific temperament among the students. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Vaibhav Kenchamba, A well known Dentist,V Care Super Speciality Dental Hospital, Hassan. Inspired, encouraged and motivated by the teachers and the parents, the budding scientists of SRSPVS displayed variety of models, projects and experiments with great enthusiasm and zeal. The exhibition was open from 11.00am to 3:30 pm and the parents and pubic were provided an opportunity to view it. The Hanging Bridge, was the main attraction and grabbed the viewer’s attention. On the whole, the Science expo was a great learning experience for the students wherein it seemed that the world of science practically came alive, through the blooming projects of our young scientists.

A day marking childhood- Children’s day celebrations focus on children and their enjoyment. The day is celebrated to pay tribute to the legendary freedom fighter, popularly known as ‘Chacha Nehru’. The occasion is celebrated every year with grand splendor and fiesta at SRSPVS. Today, a Special Assembly was conducted for children with an endearing presentation by the teachers.
The cultural programme commenced with lamp lighting by the dignitaries and floral tribute to the portrait of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
The campus was buzzing with excitement and joy as it was a day wherein fun and frolic dominated. There was excitement in the air and the little ones left the school with a bag full of stories about their special day at school.

SRSPVS celebrated Valmiki Jayanthi with great fervour on 17-10-2024. The programme began by performing photo pooja and showering flowers to the portrait of Maharshi Valmiki, the author of the epic Ramayana. It was followed with informative speech about Maharshi Valmiki. The life sketch of the great literary genius and philosopher was perceived.

To promote the cultural significance of Dasara, the ‘Festival of Dolls’, a unique tradition practiced during the festivities, was recreated in our school auditorium. Children brought a variety of dolls, from old mythological figures to modern-day dolls, which were elegantly arranged and exhibited on a stepped platform. A customary pooja was performed from 3rd October to 12th October for the Dasara dolls. Our students viewed the beautiful display, and group photos were taken to commemorate the occasion
Today, SRSPVS celebrated the birth anniversaries of two great leaders – Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri to bring awareness of their values and principles among the children. The programme began with the floral tribute to portraits of Gandhiji, the father of our nation and Lal Bahadur Shastri, the former prime minister of India. The performances included the popular bhajans “Vaishnav Jan To” and “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram”, speeches & patriotic songs. Dignitaries urged the audience to embrace the values of simplicity, self-esteem, and honesty exhibited by these great leaders. Ultimately, the students have taken oath to follow the footsteps of these great personalities in every walk of life.
“Educational movies are a key component of learning”
The students of nursery to grade 10 were taken to auditorium for a special screening of the popular movie ‘Park Road’. Park Road is a story which will take the kids along its journey making them realize the importance of getting a good education.
The movie engaged the students and was a significant break from their daily routine. It was a fun-filled day with a great learning experience for them.
SRSPVS is thrilled to announce the addition of yet another feather in its illustrious cap. The experiential learning fosters curiosity and innovation. This emphasis on learning through practical experience.
On Friday, September 13th, 2024, the school took a significant step forward with the inauguration of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science labs. These cutting-edge, well equipped & sophisticated labs were formally inaugurated by the Founder Trustee, Mr. R. Ravish and Trustee, Mrs. Savitha Ravish.
The Faculties led the students through inspiring demonstrations of the lab equipment, showcasing its potential to make learning more engaging and practical.
The labs comprise huge number of scientific apparatus, instruments, tools, chemicals, reagents, systems which caters the inquisitive thirst of learning science.
With these new labs, SRSPVS continues to lead the way in providing a comprehensive education that encourages scientific exploration, creativity and the pursuit of knowledge.
To enhance the creativity of students, to inculcate traditional values in them and also to sensitize them towards the environment, SRSPVS conducted “Eco Friendly Ganapa Expo- 2024”. Students put their innovation and creativity to best use by using clay, dough, paper, or other biodegradable materials to create replica of the divine lord. They all were excited to keep their hand made idols for puja on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi. The festival awakened devotion, creativity and learning amongst children. This also inculcated in them the habit of being resourceful.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of the former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a philosopher and a great teacher, 5th September every year, is celebrated as Teachers' Day. His contribution towards Indian education is undeniable. The Teachers' Day was organized with incredible gusto and zeal by the students of SRSPVS. The day commenced with a special assembly by students to honour and express gratitude towards their teachers. To create a joyous atmosphere, fun filled games were planned at the school premises which reminded the teachers of their school days and made them feel nostalgic.
Later, the programme lead off with the lighting of the lamp & offering floral tribute to the portrait of the great educationalist & former president of India, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Thus, the entire celebration paved a new hope for teachers to rejoice the journey as a teacher.
"Rakhi: A Celebration of Bonds"
Raksha Bandhan, a celebration of the enduring bond between siblings, was joyfully observed at SRSPVS on 19th August 2024. The festival emphasized the mutual protection and support that brothers and sisters pledge to one another. Students, dressed in vibrant traditional attire, participated enthusiastically in the rakhi-tying ceremony, filling the atmosphere with warmth and joy. The day not only highlighted sibling bondage, love but also reinforced values of trust, care, and unity among the students. It was a memorable occasion that strengthened friendships and nurtured a sense of community.
On 15th August 2024, SRSPVS celebrated the 78th Independence Day with unparalleled enthusiasm and national pride. The event began with the ceremonial hoisting of the tricolor, symbolizing our nation's freedom and unity, followed by the stirring notes of the National Anthem that resonated through the air, instilling a sense of patriotism in everyone present. The school choir then took the stage, performing a medley of patriotic songs that evoked deep emotions and reminded everyone of the sacrifices made for our country's independence.
Following the musical tribute, the students showcased their discipline and unity in a well-coordinated March-past, displaying the spirit of teamwork and dedication. The event continued with inspiring speeches from distinguished dignitaries, who encouraged the students to carry forward the legacy of our freedom fighters and contribute to the nation’s progress. The day unfolded with a series of captivating performances, including a mixed drill, group songs, and various patriotic displays that highlighted the rich cultural heritage and diversity of our nation.
It was truly a day filled with patriotic fervor, where every heart swelled with pride and every mind was reminded of the responsibility we hold as citizens to uphold the values of freedom, peace, and unity in our diverse nation.
SRSPVS celebrated 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' to pay tribute to Kargil Martyrs who are the symbol of courage and sacrifice for safeguarding the borders of the Country. The dignitaries and staff paid homage to the soldiers of Kargil by lighting the candles and 2 minutes silence was observed. The lighted candles illuminated the venue and made it peaceful. Furthermore, students offered flowers to Amar Jawan statue. The students were apprised of the information about how the day is celebrated to mark India's victory through speeches & video. The aim of the celebration was to spread the message that it is the duty of each one of us to remember the sacrifices of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country.
On June 21, 2024, SRSPVS celebrated the 10th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event began with warm-up exercises, followed by students practicing and performing various sitting and standing asanas. The Chief Guest, Dr. Gurubasavaraj Yalagachhin, an expert in Ayurveda and Yoga from SDM College of Ayurveda & Hospital, Hassan, addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of yoga in our daily lives.
The celebration included a variety of engaging activities. Students delivered speeches, sang songs, and presented a PowerPoint presentations, showcasing their knowledge and appreciation of yoga. They also demonstrated rhythmic yoga, pyramid formations, and yogic dance, illustrating the strength and flexibility achieved through regular practice.
The session was immensely rewarding, rejuvenating everyone with boundless energy and underscoring the profound impact of yoga on both individual well-being and societal harmony.
Our school celebrated World Environment Day on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, with a vibrant and educational programme that emphasized the importance of environmental conservation. The event featured with planting saplings and a series of activities making it a memorable day for all attendees.
The District Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides, President of the District Senior Citizens Association, and Ex-Municipality Member, Dr. Y.S. Veerabhadrappa, the esteemed chief guest, delivered an inspiring speech after planting saplings. He highlighted various environmental challenges and shared practical solutions for sustainable living. Dr. Veerabhadrappa's address was well-received, resonating with both students and teachers.
Our School President, Mr. R Rajagopala Setty, in his presidential speech, lauded the efforts of the school in organizing such an impactful event. He encouraged students to continue their environmental efforts and emphasized the role of education in fostering environmental responsibility.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, students and teachers wore green attire, symbolizing their commitment to the environment. The school's display boards were creatively decorated by the students with themes related to World Environment Day, enhancing the visual appeal of the celebrations.
To further engage students, the school organized drawing competition in which the students participated enthusiastically & showcased their creativity.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and guests. The day's activities left a lasting impression on attendees, reinforcing the importance of environmental stewardship.
